Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) qualified for the 2023 Saville Shootout playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2023 Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;

Morozumi finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morozumi defeated Kyler Kleibrink (Langley, BC) 8-4, then won 5-0 against Cole Adams (Calgary, AB). Morozumi went on to lose 7-3 against Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN). Morozumi responded with a 6-5 win over McEwen. Morozumi won 6-3 against Alex Champ (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For week 7 of the event schedule, Morozumi did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 27th to 29th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 137.875 total points.
