Gushue won 9-4 against Sixten Totzek (Baden Baden, GER). Gushue went on to lose 6-3 against Mouat. Gushue responded with a 9-5 win over Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR). Gushue won 8-5 against Edin in their final qualifying round match.
