Gushue finished 9-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue lost 8-3 to Schwaller, then responded with a 10-6 win over Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Gushue won 8-2 against Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL). Gushue went on to lose 8-6 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR). Gushue responded with a 6-3 win over Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN). Gushue won 8-3 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE), then won 9-4 against ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) and 9-6 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Gushue won 9-4 against Sixten Totzek (Baden Baden, GER). Gushue went on to lose 6-3 against Mouat. Gushue responded with a 9-5 win over Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR). Gushue won 8-5 against Edin in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the BKT Tires & OK Tire World Men's Curling Championship, Gushue take home 60.500 world rankings points, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 1st place overall with 376.250 total points.
