Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) won 8-3 over Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON) in the Final of the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic, held November 1 - 5, 2023 at the Halifax Curling Club in Halifax, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Asselin won 8-6 over Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) to advance to the championship game. of the 2023 Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada;

Asselin finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Asselin defeated Jean-Michel Arsenault (Levis, QC) 6-5, then won 7-2 against James Grattan (Oromocto , NB) and 7-5 against Bryce Everist (Halifax, NS). Asselin won 4-2 against Alex Champ (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic Championship title, Asselin earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 27th place overall with 135.680 total points. Asselin ranks 30th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 58.375 points earned so far this season.
