Jack Smart (Calgary, AB) run at the 2023 Canadian Wheelchair Championship came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-2 loss to Gil Dash (Moose Jaw, SK). of the 2023 Canadian Wheelchair Championship in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan;
 
Smart finished 5-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smart defeated Cecilia Carroll (St.John's, NL) 7-6, then won 8-3 against Laughie Rutt (Sackville, NS) and 8-2 against Quebec's Benoit Lessard. Smart went on to lose 8-5 against Rodney Pederson (Moose Jaw, SK). Smart responded with a 6-2 win over Jon Thurston (Schomberg, ON). Smart went on to lose 9-4 against Dash. Smart lost 8-4 to British Columbia's Gerry Austgarden where Smart responded with a 7-4 win over Doug Dean (Thunder Bay, NO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Smart ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
