Adam McEachren (Halifax, NS) lost 9-7 to Sam Mooibroek (Waterloo, ON) in the Final of the USPORT Curling Canada University Championships, held March 15 - 19, 2023 in Sudbury, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, McEachren won 5-4 over Jake Horgan (Sudbury, ON) in the semifinals
McEachren finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEachren defeated Jamie Stewart (Federicton, NB) 9-3, then won 12-11 against Owen Purdy (Kingston, ON) and 7-6 against Aden Kavanaugh (Halifax, NS). McEachren won 8-4 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). McEachren went on to lose 8-3 against Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB). McEachren responded with a 5-3 win over Horgan. McEachren went on to lose 9-6 against Mooibroek in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the USPORT Curling Canada University Championships, McEachren take home 5.500 world rankings points. For week 33 of the event schedule, McEachren did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McEachren ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
