Kean finished 5-2 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kean defeated Connor Simms (Sault Ste Marie, ON) 10-5, then went on to lose 8-5 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Kean responded with a 8-2 win over Jed Brundidge (Chaska, MN). Kean won 7-1 against Charlie Robert (Sault Ste Marie, NO). Kean went on to lose 7-5 against Sandy MacEwan (Sudbury, NO). Kean responded with a 6-5 win over Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA). Kean won 5-2 against Sweden's Fredrik Nyman in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kean earned 12.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Soo Curlers Fall Classic presented by KIOTI Tractors, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 46th place overall with 72.453 total points.
