To advance to the championship game, Retornaz won 7-4 over Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) in the semifinals of the 2023 Soo Curlers Fall Classic presented by KIOTI Tractors in Sault Ste.Marie, Ontario, Canada; and won 5-0 over Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL) in the quarterfinals.

Retornaz finished 3-0 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Retornaz defeated Soo-Hyuk Kim (GyeongBuk, KOR) 6-3, then won 7-5 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) and 8-3 against Howard in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Soo Curlers Fall Classic presented by KIOTI Tractors, Retornaz take home 22.000 world rankings points along with the $17,000CDN prize, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 1 after improving upon their best so far this season. Retornaz ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 169.625 points earned so far this season.
