To advance to the championship game, Schwaller won 5-4 over Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) in the semifinals of the 2023 Nutrien Ag Solutions Western Showdown in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 7-6 over Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Nutrien Ag Solutions Western Showdown in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada;
Schwaller finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB) 5-3, then went on to lose 6-2 against Mooibroek. Schwaller responded with a 8-4 win over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). Schwaller went on to lose 10-6 against Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK). Schwaller responded with a 7-2 win over Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Nutrien Ag Solutions Western Showdown Championship title, Schwaller earned 45.000 world rankings points along with the $14,000CDN first prize cheque. Schwaller move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 27 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 4th overall with 342.594 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Schwaller ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 218.000 points earned so far this season.
