Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-3 against Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO). of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Niagara Falls, Ontario;

Dunstone finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) 6-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI). Dunstone responded with a 7-1 win over Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB). Dunstone won 4-2 against Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Dunstone earned 30.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -12.625 after improving upon their best so far this season.
