To advance to the championship game, Kim won 10-4 over Danielle Inglis (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario; and won 5-2 over Sarah Anderson (Minneapolis, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario;
Kim finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim lost 8-4 to Dupont, then responded with a 5-2 win over Isabelle Ladouceur (Whitby, ON). Kim won 10-3 against Corrie Huerlimann (Zug, SUI), then won 8-1 against Nancy Martin (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 Championship title, Kim earned 41.250 world rankings points along with the $10,750CDN first prize cheque. Kim move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 26.453 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 12th overall with 196.984 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 123.000 points earned so far this season.
