Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-5 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario;
Wiebe finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wiebe defeated Catlin Schneider (Victoria, BC) 5-1, then went on to lose 6-4 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Wiebe responded with a 5-3 win over Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI). Wiebe won 8-6 against Cameron Bryce (Border, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
Wiebe earned 16.500 world rankings points for their Top 6 finish in the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2, remaining in 26th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -0.422 after improving upon their best so far this season. Wiebe ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 51.250 points earned so far this season.
