Benjamin Helston (Calgary, AB) lost 10-3 to Jacob Dobson (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the CCAA / Curling Canada College Championships, held March 15 - 19, 2023 in Sudbury, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Helston won 10-7 over Jacob Jones (Hamilton, ON) in the semifinals

Helston finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Helston lost 8-5 to Dobson, droppimg another game, 8-7 to Connor Simms (Sault Ste Marie, ON) where Helston responded with a 9-7 win over Jones. Helston won 8-6 against Braden Pelech (Edmonton, AB), then won 8-3 against Nolan Galardo (Peterborough, ON) and 6-4 against Nicolas Oake (Edmonton, ON). Helston won 12-7 against Beau Cornelson (Camrose, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the CCAA / Curling Canada College Championships, Helston take home 2.750 world rankings points. For week 33 of the event schedule, Helston did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Helston ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
