Jacob Dobson (Toronto, ON) won 10-3 over Benjamin Helston (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the CCAA / Curling Canada College Championships, held March 15 - 19, 2023 in Sudbury, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Dobson won 8-4 over Connor Simms (Sault Ste Marie, ON) in the semifinals of the 2023 CCAA / Curling Canada College Championships in Sudbury, Ontario;
Dobson finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dobson defeated Helston 8-5, then won 8-4 against Beau Cornelson (Camrose, AB) and 11-2 against Nolan Galardo (Peterborough, ON). Dobson won 9-0 against Nicolas Oake (Edmonton, ON), then won 12-5 against Braden Pelech (Edmonton, AB). Dobson went on to lose 6-1 against Jacob Jones (Hamilton, ON). Dobson responded with a 11-3 win over Simms in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the CCAA / Curling Canada College Championships Championship title, Dobson earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 33 of the event schedule, Dobson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Dobson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
