Ward finished 5-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ward defeated Mike Farbelow (St. Paul, MN) 7-2, then won 4-3 against John Shoesmith (Seattle, WA) and 8-4 against Ryan Lagasse (Bismarck, ND). Ward won 6-5 against Jon Johnson (Fairbanks, AL), then won 8-7 against Colin Rittgers (Chicago, IL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Ward ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
