McCartney3-5 at 2023 Scottish Curling Junior Championships

Ishbel McCartney (Stirling, SCO) finished 3-5 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCartney defeated Katie Archibald (Dumfries, SCO) 8-6, then went on to lose 18-0 against Fay Henderson (Dumfries, SCO). McCartney lost 8-6 to Jodi Bass (Dumfries, SCO). McCartney lost 10-4 to Tamzin Smith (Aberdeen, SCO) where McCartney responded with a 11-2 win over Chloe McNaughton (Perth, SCO). McCartney went on to lose 11-2 against Amy Mitchell (Greenacres, SCO). McCartney responded with a 8-0 win over Jenny Jahn (Dumfries, SCO). McCartney went on to lose 9-4 against Layla Huntly (Dumfries, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

McCartney earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 15 of the event schedule, McCartney did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McCartney ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
