Nathan Young (St. John's, NL) finished 2-6 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Young lost 7-4 to Jake Higgs (Iqaluit, NU), droppimg another game, 7-3 to Kelly Knapp (Regina, SK). Young lost 7-6 to Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). Young lost 6-4 to Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT). Young lost 6-4 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) where Young responded with a 8-7 win over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Young went on to lose 13-3 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). Young responded with a 8-5 win over Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

Young earned 7.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 32 of the event schedule, Young did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Young ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
