Rob Retchless (Kent, ENG) finished 6-0 in the 5-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Retchless defeated Fraser Clark (Kent, ENG) 8-2, then won 9-2 against Owen Rees (Kent, ENG) and 7-5 against Andrew Woolston (Kent, ENG). Retchless won 9-1 against Richard Hills (Kent, ENG), then won 8-6 against Clark and 7-4 against Woolston in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the English National Curling Championships Championship title, Retchless earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 30 of the event schedule, Retchless did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Retchless ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
