Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) run at the 2023 SGI Canada Best of the West came to an end in the semifinals with a 5-2 loss to Kelsey Rocque (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2023 SGI Canada Best of the West in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; of the 2023 SGI Canada Best of the West in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Skrlik finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skrlik defeated Taylor Reese-Hansen (Victoria, BC) 6-5, then won 7-4 against Skylar Ackerman (Saskatoon, SK) and 8-5 against Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Skrlik won 7-4 against Emily Ogg (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Skrlik earned 12.750 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the SGI Canada Best of the West, remaining in 24th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 7.5 after improving upon their best so far this season. Skrlik ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 134.250 points earned so far this season.
