Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB) run at the 2023 SGI Canada Best of the West came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-5 loss to Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2023 SGI Canada Best of the West in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; Calvert advanced through the quarterfinals with a 8-5 win over Jacques Gauthier (Victoria, BC). of the 2023 SGI Canada Best of the West in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Calvert finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Calvert defeated Kody Hartung (Saskatoon, SK) 7-6, then won 8-5 against Daymond Bernath (Saskatoon, SK). Calvert went on to lose 7-6 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Calvert responded with a 7-3 win over Matthew McCrady (New Westminster , BC) in their final qualifying round match.
