Kristin Moen Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) won 9-5 over Jasmin Lander/Henrik Holtermann (Hvidovre, DEN) in the Final of the Gefle Mixed Doubles Cup, held January 26 - 29, 2023 in Gavle, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Skaslien/Nedregotten won 8-6 over Therese Westman/Robin Ahlberg (Stockholm, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2023 Gefle Mixed Doubles Cup in Gavle, Sweden; and won 8-0 over Adela Walczak/Konrad Stych (Lodz, POL) in the quarterfinals.
Skaslien/Nedregotten finished 4-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skaslien/Nedregotten defeated Kaidi Elmik/Mihhail Vlassov (Tallinn, EST) 13-5, then won 7-2 against Daina Barone/Arnis Veidemanis (Riga, LAT) and 11-2 against Gabriella Qvist/Alexander Qvist (Gentofte, DEN). Skaslien/Nedregotten won 9-1 against Alva Sundberg/Axel Yseus (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Gefle Mixed Doubles Cup Championship title, Skaslien/Nedregotten earned 37.500 world rankings points along with the $2,300CDN first prize cheque. For week 26 of the event schedule, Skaslien/Nedregotten did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Skaslien/Nedregotten ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
