Yumi Suzuki (Tokyo, JPN) finished 3-5 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Suzuki lost 12-2 to Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN), then responded with a 10-2 win over Riho Zaikan (Hioshima, JPN). Suzuki went on to lose 7-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Suzuki lost 10-4 to Kitazawa where Suzuki responded with a 9-6 win over Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN). Suzuki won 7-2 against Rin Suzuki (Aomori, JPN). Suzuki went on to lose 7-3 against Asuka Kanai (Karuizawa, JPN). Suzuki lost 11-4 to Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Suzuki earned 5.063 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Suzuki did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Suzuki ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
