Penny Barker (Moose Jaw, SK) won 8-7 over Skylar Ackerman (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the SaskTour Womens Players Championship, held January 13 - 15, 2023 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. To advance to the championship game, Barker won 6-3 over Nancy Martin (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals
 
Barker finished 3-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barker defeated Jessica Mitchell (Saskatoon, SK) 11-1, then won 6-2 against Lorraine Schneider (Regina, SK) and 7-2 against Amber Holland (Regina, SK). Barker went on to lose 6-4 against Martin in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the SaskTour Womens Players Championship Championship title, Barker earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 22nd place overall with 131.788 total points. Barker ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 98.250 points earned so far this season.
