To advance to the championship game, Wainman won 6-3 over Tyanna Bain (Inuvik, NT) in the semifinals of the 2023 Northwest Territories Scotties in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Canada;

Wainman finished 3-3 in the 4-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wainman lost 13-2 to Galusha, then responded with a 8-5 win over Bain. Wainman won 12-3 against Ashley Lennie (Inuvik, NT), then won 10-8 against Lennie. Wainman went on to lose 9-4 against Bain. Wainman lost 10-1 to Galusha in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Northwest Territories Scotties, Wainman take home 2.750 world rankings points.
