Julia Pekowitz (Natick, MA) lost 5-2 to Sophia Ryhorchuk (St. Paul, MN) in the Final of the USA Curling U18 National Championships, held January 12 - 15, 2023 in Lafayette, Colorado. To advance to the championship game, Pekowitz won 6-1 over Natalie Hollands (Bowling Green, OH) in the semifinals
 
Pekowitz finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pekowitz defeated Lia Karjarlainen (Fargo, ND) 7-3, then won 8-5 against Demerie Black (Bismarck, ND) and 6-3 against Alana Schroden (Midland, MI). Pekowitz went on to lose 8-6 against Claire Viau (Stevens Point, WI). Pekowitz responded with a 8-4 win over Gracia Berg (Bemidji, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
