CHAMPION: Dunphy/Sethi Wins 2023 Cincinnati Mixed Doubles Cup

Erin Dunphy/Ishan Sethi (Cincinnati, OH) won 8-7 over Flannery Allison/Michael Allison (Saint Louis, MO) in the Final of the Cincinnati Mixed Doubles Cup, held February 17 - 19, 2023 in Cincinnati, Ohio. To advance to the championship game, Dunphy/Sethi won 9-6 over Joyce McLaren/Kevin Mechenbier (Denver, CO) in the semifinals of the 2023 Cincinnati Mixed Doubles Cup in Cincinnati, Ohio; and won 8-6 over Julie Benson/Bret Jackson (Brighton, MI) in the quarterfinals.

Dunphy/Sethi finished 2-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunphy/Sethi defeated Tracy Sorenson/Cameron Sorenson (Bloomington, IL) 7-1, then won 8-2 against Anne Kennedy/Shane Donnenwirth (Columbus, OH). Dunphy/Sethi went on to lose 9-4 against McLaren/Mechenbier in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Cincinnati Mixed Doubles Cup Championship title, Dunphy/Sethi earned 11.250 world rankings points along with the $2,032CDN first prize cheque. For week 29 of the event schedule, Dunphy/Sethi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Dunphy/Sethi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
