In their opening game, Burgess lost 9-4 to Sarah Gaines (Oromocton, NB), droppimg another game, 9-2 to Shaelyn Park (Moncton, NB) where Burgess responded with a 11-0 win over Samantha Crook (Sackville, NB). Burgess won 8-1 against Shelly Graham (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Burgess earned 0.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 23 of the event schedule, Burgess did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Burgess ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
