In their opening game, Moffatt defeated Travis Fanset (St Thomas, ON) 7-6, then went on to lose 8-7 against Mark Kean (Ottawa, ON). Moffatt responded with a 8-6 win over Sam Steep (KW, ON). Moffatt won 10-6 against Rob Ainsley (Toronto, ON). Moffatt went on to lose 8-2 against Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Moffatt earned 2.813 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 23 of the event schedule, Moffatt did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Moffatt ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
