Kessel went on to lose 10-3 against Brett Barber (Biggar, SK). Kessel responded with a 6-2 win over Chelsey Emberley (Saskatoon, SK). Kessel won 6-3 against Krista Ellingson (Regina, SK). Kessel went on to lose 7-5 against Madison Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Kessel earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 23 of the event schedule, Kessel did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kessel ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
