Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) lost 4-3 to Marianne Roervik (Oslo, NOR) in the Final of the Sun City Cup, held February 23 - 26, 2023 in Karlstad, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 6-3 over Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg , SWE) in the semifinals

Hasselborg finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) 9-3, then won 7-1 against Maia Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) and 6-5 against Roervik. Hasselborg won 8-5 against Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Sun City Cup, Hasselborg take home 22.000 world rankings points along with the $1,565CDN prize. Hasselborg gained -386.702 points improving upon their best 7 events, though dropped 366 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 374thplace overall with -143.012 total points.
