To advance to the championship game, Westman/Ahlberg won 8-5 over Maia Ramsfjell/Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2022 Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden; and won 9-3 over Martine Roenning/Mathias Braenden (Lillehammer, NOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden;

Westman/Ahlberg finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Westman/Ahlberg defeated Lea Hueppi/Jonas Weiss (Dubendorf, SUI) 9-6, then won 7-4 against Roenning/Braenden and 9-3 against Alva Sundberg/Axel Yseus (Karlstad, SWE). Westman/Ahlberg won 9-5 against Mintaute Jurkute/Paulius Rymeikis (Vilnius, LTU) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup Championship title, Westman/Ahlberg earned 30.000 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 22 of the event schedule, Westman/Ahlberg did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Westman/Ahlberg ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
