Karagoz finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Karagoz defeated Ian Dickie (Rockland, ON) 8-4, then went on to lose 7-0 against Mooibroek. Karagoz responded with a 8-3 win over Mark Kean (Woodstock, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the St. Catharines Golf & CC Cash Spiel, Karagoz take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $1,900CDN prize.
