Mayu Minami (Sapporo, JPN) run at the 2022 WCT-Japan New Year Medalist Curling came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-1 loss to Asuka Kanai (Karuizawa, JPN). of the 2022 WCT-Japan New Year Medalist Curling in Miyota, Japan; Minami advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-4 win over 's . of the 2022 WCT-Japan New Year Medalist Curling in Miyota, Japan;

Minami finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Minami lost 8-1 to Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN), then responded with a 8-3 win over Isabelle Ladouceur (Waterloo, ON). Minami won 10-3 against Arisa Kotani (Miyota, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
