Nicky Kaufman (Edmonton, AB) finished 1-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaufman lost 9-5 to Emily Clark (Westlock, AB), then responded with a 8-6 win over Lisa Parent (Calgary, AB). Kaufman went on to lose 10-6 against Krysta Hilker (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Kaufman earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 19 of the event schedule, Kaufman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kaufman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
