James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) run at the 2022 Superstore Monctonian Challenge came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-3 loss to Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI). of the 2022 Superstore Monctonian Challenge in Moncton, New Brunswick; Grattan advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-1 win over Travis Colter (Halifax, NS). of the 2022 Superstore Monctonian Challenge in Moncton, New Brunswick;

Grattan finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grattan defeated Mitchell Schut (Cornwall, PEI) 9-1, then won 7-4 against Dan Crouse (Saint John, NB). Grattan went on to lose 7-4 against Stuart Thompson (Halifax, NS). Grattan responded with a 8-3 win over Jason Roach (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Grattan earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Superstore Monctonian Challenge. Grattan move up 9 spots after posting a net gain of 1.856 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 60th overall with 63.496 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Grattan ranks 61st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 43.563 points earned so far this season.
