12-1 to Ontario's Shauna Petrie/Mark Ideson, then responded with a 11-1 win over Alberta's Emma Nagel/Stefan Vindis. Benevides/Reynen went on to lose 12-3 against Canada's Collinda Joseph/Dennis Thiessen. Benevides/Reynen lost 7-5 to Wendy Frazier/Martin Purvis (Edmonton, AB). Benevides/Reynen lost 8-5 to Newfoundland / Labrador's Cecilia Carroll/Gil Dash where Benevides/Reynen responded with a 1-0 win over Quebec's Christine Lavallee/Claude Brunet. Benevides/Reynen went on to lose 11-2 against Saskatchewan's Linda Hamilton/Darwin Bender in their final qualifying round match.
