To advance to the championship game, Runciman won 1-0 over James Ballance (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2022 Okotoks U20 Bonspiel in Okotoks, Alberta;

Runciman finished 2-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Runciman defeated Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) 8-7, then won 7-4 against Nolan Duncan (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
