In their opening game, Perron defeated Steeve Simard (Clermont, QC) 10-2, then won 7-3 against Martin Begin (Laval-sur-la-Lac, QC) and 9-2 against Yannick Michaud (Sept-Iles, QC). Perron went on to lose 10-4 against Leandre Girard (Quebec, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
