Marie Kaldvee (Tallinn, EST) won 10-3 over Alzbeta Zelingrova (Prague, CZE) in the Final of the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships, held November 19 - 26, 2022 in Ostersund, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Kaldvee won 7-6 over Virginija Paulauskaite (Vilnius, LTU) in the semifinals of the 2023 Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships in Ostersund, Sweden;
Kaldvee finished 9-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaldvee defeated Miia Ahrenberg (Hyvinkaa, FIN) 11-5, then won 14-4 against Lydia Valles (San-Sebastian, ESP) and 7-6 against Lisa Farnell (Kent, ENG). Kaldvee won 5-3 against Marijke Reitsma (Kitzbuehel, AUT), then won 9-3 against Gabriela Kajanova (Bratislava, SVK). Kaldvee went on to lose 8-5 against Zelingrova. Kaldvee responded with a 10-2 win over Caro van Oosterwyck (Zemst, BEL). Kaldvee won 10-2 against Kajanova, then won 10-9 against Paulauskaite and 7-6 against Paulauskaite in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships Championship title, Kaldvee earned 22.500 world rankings points. For week 17 of the event schedule, Kaldvee did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kaldvee ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
