Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) won 11-6 over Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in the Final of the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships, held November 19 - 26, 2022 in Ostersund, Sweden. Gosgens finished 6-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gosgens defeated Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) 9-2, then went on to lose 7-6 against Truksans. Gosgens responded with a 10-4 win over Stefan Sever (Ljubljana, SLO). Gosgens won 12-5 against Timothy Verreycken (Zemst, BEL), then won 7-1 against Kristof Czermann (Budapest, HUN) and 8-2 against Steve Seixeiro (Lisbon, POR). Gosgens won 11-4 against Eddy Mercier (Megeve, FRA) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships Championship title, Gosgens earned 22.500 world rankings points, remaining in 19th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.25 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gosgens ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 111.875 points earned so far this season.
