Flemming Davanger (Jar, NOR) lost 9-2 to Anders Mjoen (Oppdal, NOR) in the Final of the Norway Cup 1, held November 11 - 13, 2022 in Hedmarken, Norway. To advance to the championship game, Davanger won 5-3 over Tor-Erling Kvarner (Oppdal, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2023 Norway Cup 1 in Hedmarken, Norway;

Davanger finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Davanger defeated Lars Aspeli (Lillehammer, NOR) 12-1, then won 9-4 against Gjermund Troan (Hedmarken, NOR) and 7-5 against Mjoen. Davanger won 7-4 against Johan Herfjord (Trondheim, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Norway Cup 1, Davanger take home 2.750 world rankings points. For week 15 of the event schedule, Davanger did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
