Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2022 Leduc Lions U20 Bonspiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-2 against Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB).

Tao finished 2-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tao defeated James Ballance (Calgary, AB) 5-1, then won 8-3 against Josh Bryden (Regina, SK). Tao went on to lose 6-2 against Logan Ede (Saskatoon, SK). Tao lost 5-4 to Jaxon Hiebert (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
