Freeman finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Freeman defeated Luke Robins (Winnipeg, MB) 7-2, then won 8-2 against Tanner Graham (Winnipeg, MB) and 4-3 against Aaron Van Ryssel (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
