Laura Neil/Scott McDonald (St. Thomas, ON) won 9-7 over Jiyoon Kim/ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) in the Final of the Walker Industries Mixed Doubles Spiel, held January 6 - 8, 2023 at the Arthur and Area Curling Club in Arthur, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Neil/McDonald won 7-5 over Katie Cottrill/Shawn Cottrill (Belgrave, ON) in the semifinals   of the 2023 Walker Industries Mixed Doubles Spiel in Arthur, Ontario, Canada; and won 8-3 over Jessica Shipmaker/Mike Aprile (Mississauga, ON) in the quarterfinals.  
 
Neil/McDonald finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Neil/McDonald lost 6-3 to Paulina Hajduk/Jan Horacek (Bratislava, SVK), then responded with a 7-2 win over Catherine Liscumb/Chris Liscumb (Ilderton, ON). Neil/McDonald won 7-4 against Jenny Madden/Samuel Guilbeault (Ottawa , ON), then won 10-4 against Meaghan Mallett/Brendan Jackson (Mississauga, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Walker Industries Mixed Doubles Spiel Championship title, Neil/McDonald earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 564th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 11.734 after improving upon their best so far this season. Neil/McDonald ranks 45th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 31.500 points earned so far this season.
