Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) lost 7-4 to Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB) in the Final of the MCT Championships, held December 9 - 11, 2022 at the Heather Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Wiebe won 1-0 over Corey Chambers (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals
 
Wiebe finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wiebe defeated Jeff Stewart (Gladstone , MB) 13-4, then won 1-0 against Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) and 5-4 against Chambers. Wiebe won 1-0 against Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the MCT Championships, Wiebe take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN prize, remaining in 27th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2.093 after improving upon their best so far this season. Wiebe ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 97.375 points earned so far this season.
