Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) won 1-0 over Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the MCT Shootout, held October 13 - 15, 2023 at the Selkirk Curling Club in Selkirk, Canada. To advance to the championship game, McDonald won 1-0 over Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals
McDonald finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McDonald defeated Travis Bale (Winnipeg, MB) 8-7, then won 6-2 against Devon Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) and 5-4 against Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the MCT Shootout Championship title, McDonald earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 65th place overall with 55.906 total points. McDonald ranks 56th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.750 points earned so far this season.
