Farrell/Thurston Runner-Up at 2023 Dutch Masters Mixed Doubles

Cora Farrell/Coleman Thurston (Chaska, MN) lost 9-3 to Sarah Clifford/Oliver Rosenkrands Soee (Hvidovre, DEN) in the Final of the Dutch Masters Mixed Doubles, held January 13 - 15, 2023 in Zoetermeer, Netherlands. To advance to the championship game, Farrell/Thurston won 6-5 over Ashley Waye/Rob Retchless (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2023 Dutch Masters Mixed Doubles in Zoetermeer, Netherlands; and won 11-8 over Caro van Oosterwyck/Jeroen Spruyt (Zemst, BEL) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Dutch Masters Mixed Doubles in Zoetermeer, Netherlands;

Farrell/Thurston finished 2-2 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Farrell/Thurston defeated Anandi Bomas/Bart Klomp (Zoetermeer, NED) 6-5, then went on to lose 9-4 against Clifford/Rosenkrands Soee. Farrell/Thurston lost 8-2 to Vera Kalocsai/Otto Kalocsay (Budapest, HUN) where Farrell/Thurston responded with a 7-4 win over Oihane Otaegi/Mikel Unanue (San Sebastian, ESP) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Dutch Masters Mixed Doubles, Farrell/Thurston take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $500CDN prize. For week 24 of the event schedule, Farrell/Thurston did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Farrell/Thurston ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
