To advance to the championship game, Hersikorn/Laycock won 8-7 over Kya Kennedy/Landon Field (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals

Hersikorn/Laycock finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hersikorn/Laycock defeated Kennedy/Field 9-8, then won 8-4 against Melissa Remeshylo/Dylan Derksen (Martensville, SK) and 9-5 against Sarah Hoag/James Gordon (Martensville, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Mixed Doubles Mid-Week Kick-Off, Hersikorn/Laycock take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $750CDN prize.
