Sherry Just/Dean Grindheim (Martensville, SK) won 6-5 over Patty Hersikorn/Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the Mixed Doubles Mid-Week Kick-Off, held September 6 - 8, 2022 at the Martensville Curling Club in Martensville, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Just/Grindheim won 6-0 over Saskatchewan's Pederson/ Fleck in the semifinals of the 2022 Mixed Doubles Mid-Week Kick-Off in Martensville, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Just/Grindheim finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Just/Grindheim defeated Nancy Martin/Chad Martin (Saskatoon, SK) 4-3, then won 7-3 against Saskatchewan's Cara Kesslering/Matthew Drewitz. Just/Grindheim went on to lose 6-5 against Saskatchewan's Pederson/ Fleck in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Mixed Doubles Mid-Week Kick-Off Championship title, Just/Grindheim earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 6 of the event schedule, Just/Grindheim did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Just/Grindheim ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
