Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN) won 11-3 over ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) in the Final of the Pan-Continental Championships, held October 31 - November 5, 2022 in Calgary, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Gushue won 8-2 over Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN) in the semifinals
Gushue finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue lost 10-8 to Korey Dropkin (Duluth, USA), then responded with a 7-1 win over Marcelo Mello (Sao Paolo, BRA). Gushue won 11-2 against Yanagisawa, then won 11-3 against Jeong and 11-5 against Jay Merchant (Melbourne, AUS). Gushue won 10-5 against Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL), then won 11-3 against Chinese Taipei's Randie Shen in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Pan-Continental Championships Championship title, Gushue earned 37.500 world rankings points, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -34.609 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gushue ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 172.000 points earned so far this season.
