Amanda Chou/Brendon Liu (Taiwan, TPE) finished 3-3 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Chou/Liu lost
10-1 to Sarah Wark/Keith Clarke (Victoria, BC), then responded with a 7-6 win over Estefana Quintero/Ismael Abreu (Mexico City, MEX). Chou/Liu went on to lose 9-5 against Diane Gushulak/Patrick Prade (New Westminster, BC). Chou/Liu responded with a 10-6 win over Karly King-Simpson/Connar Croteau (Victoria, BC). Chou/Liu won 10-8 against Wark/Clarke to advance to a C-Qualifier game where they lost 8-4 against Gushulak/Prade in their final qualifying round match.
 
Chou/Liu earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 8 of the event schedule, Chou/Liu did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Chou/Liu ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
